💪 5280 Human Care Center has a strict Behavior/ Participation Policy.
😕 While we understand that attending DUI treatment can be expensive, time consuming, frustrating, embarrassing, and otherwise upsetting, maintaining control of your attitude and behavior is paramount and will help to maximize the benefits of your treatment.
✅It's ok to feel mad, to be upset, and to even be really damn angry. This is a difficult situation you are working through and it can be emotionally taxing at times.
⭐A positive consequence of any therapeutic treatment is that you learn healthier ways to cope with difficult and challenging situations and to express your emotions in a respectful and controlled manner.
🛟Your group is a safe place to express your emotions. Most everyone else in your group are probably experiencing the same or similar emotions as you.
🚨However, behavior that puts the group's safety and therapeutic environment at risk, will result in your immediate removal from group.
🚫Disrespect for your counselor and/ or peers will not be tolerated and may result in termination from our program.
❌Likewise, failure to adhere to participation requirements, may result in removal from your group and/or discharge from treatment.
🤬If you find yourself having trouble maintaining control of your emotions, we have an anger management group to support you and that may substitute for some of your DUI classes.

🎭BEHAVIOR POLICY:
💥Displays of violence (slamming doors, cussing, etc.), will not be tolerated and may result in termination from the program.
🤬Respect must be shown to your counselor and peers. You will refrain from cussing, bullying, talking back, or any other indignant behavior that could be perceived as disrespectful.
🆗You must do your best to maintain a positive attitude and will refrain from being disruptive, argumentative, hostile, uncooperative or otherwise unbecoming.
😡If you are upset and/or angry with your counselor and/or peers, You may address those issues after group via zoom, email, and/or individual session.
🚫🎶Your cell phone, TV and/or music must be turned off during group sessions.
🚭As would be expected in an in-person group setting, smoking/ vaping are not permitted during group.
🍕Please reserve snack/ meal time outside of group time. Crunching tacos and slurping ramen can be disturbingly distracting when combined with the unusual eating behaviors of others.
😵You may not come to group under the influence of drugs or alcohol, including prescription drugs. Perception of impairment by the counselor and/or peers will require a re-entry session with a counselor before you can return to group.
🛑You are expected to maintain confidentiality. Whatever is shared in group must remain in the group. Breach of confidentiality is grounds for immediate termination from the agency.

🎖️PARTICIPATION POLICY:
⏰You are expected to be on time to group sessions. To minimize disruption to the group, if you are more than 5 minutes late, you may not be let into the group.
🙋🏻♀️You are expected to actively participate in group sessions.
✏️You are also expected to complete all written assignments.
📒The workbook(s) are a curriculum requirement. You are expected to bring your book to group and have it available & ready to use during the lesson.
🚫🚗You are not able to participate in group while driving in a vehicle, whether driver or passenger. If your vehicle is the only private, quiet place available, you MUST adhere to all group policies regarding privacy. You cannot have anyone else in the vehicle and you must have your workbook. Failure to comply will result in your removal from the group without receiving credit for the group.
🕑Group sessions are scheduled for 2 hours so plan accordingly. Leaving group early may result in you not receiving credit for the group.
💻🎤 You must attend the entire group, with my audio and video on, in order to receive credit for the session.
✅To receive credit for the class, you must be "present" for the class.
🤫Plan to be in a quiet space away from family (KIDS), cooking, cleaning, exercising, and anything else that could distract me from the group.
💲Removal from group for a behavior and/or participation concern, will result in a no-show fee for missing the group.
🚫Failure to comply with the agency behavior and/or participation policy, may result in negative discharge from the program.
🚩If you are discharged for a policy violation, you may not be eligible for reinstatement.
